rudimentarymydear: tussah: 69 Meters.  Knitta Please & the Montague Street BID.

From May 14 though mid June, 2009, all the parking-meter poles along Brooklyn Heights’ main street are covered in knitted cozies as part of a temporary public-art installation. Commissioned by the Montague Street Business Improvement District, ‘69 Meters’ is a collaboration between Magda Sayeg – the founder of Knitta Please, the guerilla knitting collective – and nearly 50 volunteer knitters.
