sealions asked: do you ever feel intimidated by others who ride bikes? i just started riding last summer and i feel like people scoff at me because i don't know it all. also, do you have a picture of your bike?

maybe it’s because i live in a very bike-friendly city (columbus, oh), but i do not feel intimidated by other riders, nor am i uncomfortable riding on the streets. those people who scoff at you are rude & true idiots; they should be grateful that there are others choosing to bike, & your status as a new rider or the type of bike you have should not, & does not, matter. don’t worry about them, & just ride to have have fun/commute. the only photos i have of my bike are those of the top tube cover i knit for it. i should work on getting better ones.
